What is Blu-ray?
Blu-ray Discs are the next generation of video discs. They give much higher definition pictures than DVDs and they are also full widescreen format: so Blu-ray Discs always fill your widescreen TV properly, without being “stretched-to-fit”.
What do I need to play Blu-ray Discs?
A Blu-ray Disc player (~£135 delivered at present) connected with an HDMI cable to an HD-Ready TV. A Sony Playstation PS3 will also play Blu-ray Discs. (Guys take note!)
A Blu-ray player will also play your existing DVDs and CDs.
Does Blu-ray cost more?
No, not from HeadSpin! We now shoot all weddings in 1080i50 high definition widescreen video. At no extra charge, we can deliver your finished wedding on normal DVDs or Blu-ray Discs, or both. You choose!
How can I see Blu-ray now?
We can’t show you Blu-ray quality on the web - you would need a VERY fast internet connection (30Mbps), a fast computer and a large screen (1920x1080). However, any television retailer will be only too pleased to give you a Blu-ray demonstration on an HD-ready TV. Then, just imagine your wedding showing in that quality!
Why would I want Blu-ray, if I can't play it now?
Well, you may not have a Blu-ray player now, but you probably will one day - think of it as future-proofing your wedding memories for yourself and future generations.
